You people are ludicrously hypocritical! You took lands from Palestinians to make your Israel. If you can call for a free Tibet, why not a Free Palestine, huh?? Just a load of hypocritical ****, if you ask me.

Non-violence, although it is a long process, is the way that people should deal with conflicts. All types of conflicts. From road rage to wars, violence only leads to more violence. The Dalai Lama is an inspiration. He won the Nobel Peace Prize and remains a symbol of happiness and hope even in times of despair. The Jewish people have shown how strength in faith is a survival technique that works. Buddhists practice meditation to connect to the "god" within. Either way, prayer or meditation leads to a mindfullness and awareness of ourselves. If more people become self-aware, our society will become less violent. Horrible incidents like shootings in schools and hate crimes will become less as people find a peace within. The new popularity of Buddhism, yoga and other Eastern traditions may help Western society become more mindfull and less violent. One could only hope.

Dalai Lama has been a tremedous source of inspiration for all those believing in Gandhiji's ideals here in India. It is sad that knowing fully well about the atrocities commited on the Tibetans during Chinese invasion & occupation the world community at large is not doing much to get Tibet its independence. If East Timor can be a focus of attention why not Tibet? Have we become so mean that the world is swayed by $$$ earnings. However the tibetans should never lose hope. If the Jewish people have got their homeland after 3000 years. After being persecuted by the Romans, Nazis and all. Tibetans will get Justice. As far as my country India is concerned we are hospitable to anyone. Its in our nature that we never persecute. Jews in India stayed in India for many years without any discrimination & persecution. In the words of H.E. Dr. Haim Ambassador of Israel in India says " India is the only country where Jews have never been persecuted". I can only assure that LIFE WIll ALWAYS BE BEAUTIFUL FOR ALL TIBETANS, JEWS & ALL OF US HERE.
I too was in Dharamashalla in 1990 interviewing new arrivals from Tibet. My friend there introduced me to Amah Adhi, and later wrote a book about her. My experience was so parralel with the subject matter of the film that I cried and cried because since I have been back to U.S. I haven't met anyone that really understood my journey so well. Iwas working at Thacher school and met Lobsang who is an assistnt to His Holliness while he created sandpainting and that has helped me tremendously we exchanged lots of insider info. I have discovered much more inside info since my last meeting with Lobsang and I am looking for someone to collaberate on a project with me to help me to safely share what I know.I have just found out that my father now deceased was Jewish. My family raised me Catholic to protect me in this predominately Christian culture from persecution that they witnessed during war times. I went on my own spiritual journey as a young adult and have met true disciples of the Avatar of the Ages. I really need help telling the stories that I have been entrusted with and the quality that I feel in your work appeals to me.If you are at all interested please write me at:P.O. box 268 Ojai, CA 93024. I won't have e-mail till next week untill then if you are interested you can see our web site by looking up Meher Baba and most especially Meher Mt. Ojai CA. There have been a few films on Meher Baba shown on PBS already but no one has worked from the unique perspective that I would like to discuss with you. Sincerely Dorothy Hartmann
Is the film available on video? It hasn't been aired and isn't scheduled for broadcast here. I've read The Jew In The Lotus, and Stalking Elijah, and I'm looking forward to seeing the film.

I find that it is terrible that so many countries have been helped by the U.S. and U.N. in the name of peace and because Tibet had no financial interest, there was no support when the chinese over-ran it. We must not lose this sacred culture from which the ancient masters speak to us through them, lest we become extinct ourselves without the teach there-of!
The jews without a country? Tibetans without a country? And who is the landlord of earth? how can we claim ownership of such a beautiful place we did not create? we are visitors on this planet all one and the same As far as the "landlord" is concerned. The message of love and how to live together may be found in any of the major religious doctrines. this planet is a gift and the individual countries, (tribes) must respct each others rights to live with the freedom to believe as we each wish.
Can you tell me where is the largest population of Jews in Tibet? Thank you very much.
how many time should i see the movie to understand it completely???

it is really a wonderful experience to come across such a great web page and read its content. i havent read the book yet but i feel like i should. i am a tibetan boy born in india and currently studying in new york. back in india, we always used to refer to the struggle by the jewish people to preserve their culture which of course, distintively seperates them from the rest. and the same is with the tibetan people. i would like to thank all the friends of tibetans for supporting the tibetans in their struggle to regain their country.

I often check other NEF discriptions and happen to read about this story and its film maker. I found this to be very interesting and think about what it must be to go into another country and talk to the people and gain their trust allowing for the director and team filming. I have must respect for the film maker and their willingness to travel into the unknown. I hope to be doing that kind of documentary work in the near future. Good Job ! "Five Stars"

I think it is worthwhile to understand the difference between Judaism and Buddhism. This page really nails this topic: http://www.simpletoremember.com/vitals/BuddhismJudaism.htm
