Yes, isn't it wonderful.

Now a new generation of American's are taking Alinsky's "teachings" and using it to expose the corruption of our current administration.

One would think that "liberals" would applaud anyone who questions authority. Unfortunately, most liberals are selectively liberal. When it comes to protecting their beliefs and leaders, they are as conservative as Dick Cheney.

Thanks Saul, for sowing the seeds which will defeat your leftist legacy.

Unfortunately, for all of those that think the work of Mr. Alinsky is for the benefit of the disenfranchised, they are dead wrong. His work is all about creating a political power base for himself and using the vote of the ignorant to accomplish this power grab. Obama is a great student of Alinsky's, but it will soon be his ruin.

I have been a "have not" as well as a "have". I made the journey on my own. Not under the thumb of some community organizer. That's is what is so truly great about our country. The problem with most people is that they are not willing to do the hard work necessary to acheive their dreams. They want it to come easy and they make themselves powerless in the struggle to sucede. As long as people continue to look to others for their success they will remain powerless.

.... unfortunately, America is not, and never has been, a Democracy. No Democracy has lasted more than 200 years. Alinski was, at the root, a Socialist/Marxist. Like a Democracy, neither of those will ever work, as history shows.

Finally, a group of people have got together and got this word out. I think it is the most important word that has to get out in our lifetimes. As the song says, \"Take a last fying look, at that last flying eagle,\" etc. Think of the symbols, take heart, WORK HARD, and we\'ll get there. We SHALL overcome. Teach our children...If we do it right, that could be a RAP!

I remember seeing a film in school about Alinsky eons ago, and I am trying to remember the exact quote that struck me so powerfully. It was something like "(the civil rights movement is about the right of black people) to be just as decadent as white folks." The decadent as white folks (or people) is the only part of the quote I am sure of. Anyone out there know the full quote? Thanx.

Dear Fellow Citizens: The General Welfare clause is a principle, which embodies all that is good about this great Republic. It implies the principle fought out in Plato's {Republic}, between Socrates and the Sophists; fought out at the at the masterful Council of Florence in 1439. (Italy) What else was the doctrine preached by Jesus Christ, and his allies Philo of Alexandria, as well as the great Egyptian educators of the 1st century. So, General Welfare is not a "favor" a "gift", a "charity", given when the powers that be are feeling "giving". Without that principle of ensuring the increase of population density, at a higher rate of production of industry,(machine tools, construction, steel, etc.) agricultural production, educational levels of mastery of the new horizons and venues of biological-chemical challenges that will face the next two generations, America will lead the world into a New Dark Age, every bit as horrible as that of the 10th, 12th and 14th Century in Europe, where 1/2 of the known population died due to the Black Plague, and the derivative correlatives in the economical realm of physical economy. So, "community" control or a "small is beautiful" approach to dealing with the matter of ensuring the next 50 years, or two generations a Future far higher in production and population than we have today, will always falll short. Sheila Anne Jones.

I greatly admire Saul Alinsky for the pure fact that he fought for all, no matter what the background. If we could stop fighting against each other and join together, then we could fight against the injustice that the rich dump onto the poor and the middle class. It shouldn't just be a fight for rights for the mexicans or any other race, but a fight for all. Why should we be considered the minority when we are the majority of the population. It is sad that people sit back and let it happen.
