About the Director
Kelly Anderson was born and raised in Montreal and has lived in New York City for the past ten years. She has always been drawn to the subject of work. Its been the focus of numerous collaborations with longtime documentary partner Tami Gold, including the most recent OUT AT WORK, which premiered at Sundance in 1997 and later aired on HBOs America Undercover. Their productions forge insight into the intersections of larger political issues faced in the workplace with the very personal meanings that individuals attach to their jobs. Kelly was the co-producer of the ITVS series SIGNAL TO NOISE, a three-part public television series about Americas relationship with television. She produced and directed LOOKING FOR A SPACE, about contemporary life for lesbians and gay men in Cuba. Her editing credits include ANOTHER BROTHER and EMILY & GITTA. A recipient of fellowships from the American Film Institute (NEA), and the New York State Council on the Arts, Kelly teaches in the Department of Film and Media Studies at Hunter College in New York City.
