Make Some Noise! II
A Youth Poetry Anthology
Bringing Today’s Young Poetic Voices Together
Make Some Noise! II is an opportunity for young people to
tell the world what’s on their minds by expressing
themselves through poetry. It will also give them the
experience to have their work published in a 130 page
anthology.
The goal for Make Some Noise! is to inspire a hope in young
people that will move them beyond their own doubts and the
doubts of others and into the cultivation of their writing
talents. No matter if they are a writer with God-given
talent or a writer that struggles with expression, the Make
Some Noise! collection brings together a wide range of
creative poetry written by today’s youth. It is a stepping
stone to help get young people closer to their dreams while
giving them the opportunity to contribute—to make a
difference in the life of someone else by touching them
with their words of inspiration.
The Young Poets Award
Make Some Noise! II will be rewarding one poet “The Young
Poets Award,”to be chosen by our panel members. This award
will be granted to the selected poet whose poem
demonstrates the highest level of creativity and passion
for the art of poetry.
The selected poet for this award will have their poem
featured on the back cover of the anthology. In addition,
the poet will receive a Young Poets Award certificate, an
elegant, wooden pen with their name engraved on it, and a
$200 savings bond will also be rewarded.
GUIDELINES:
• Please submit the maximum of 3 poems only. Each poem must
include your name and age, home address/city/state/zip
code, and telephone. If possible, please include your email
address. You must be 12 to 18 years of age to be published.
• At the end of each submission you must include the
following originality statement: “This will certify that
the above work is completely original,”followed by your
full name to confirm this is your work.
• At the bottom of the page, the authors name, age, and
state, will appear beneath the selected poem/poems.
• By submitting your work for consideration to Make Some
Noise! II /Motion Publications, please note that you will
not receive monetary royalties, but every poet that is
selected will receive one copy of the anthology.
• Writing may be edited, and Make Some Noise! II /Motion
Publications reserve the right to publish our edited
version without your prior approval.
• All submissions become the property of Make Some Noise!
II /Motion Publications. We retain the non-exclusive rights
to edit and publish all such works in any format. However,
all individual contributors retain the right to submit
their work for publications elsewhere.
Make Some Noise! II will be published by Motion
Publications, and will be in print in June 2005. We will
begin accepting submissions on September 1, 2004. Anyone
from 12 to 18 years of age may submit their original
poetry. Please see our guidelines below. Please note: Full
copyrights of work(s) submitted will be returned to the
author after the anthology is published.
