<![CDATA[For a teacher ed class this semester, I am creating a web-
based inquiry into the links between rap, spoken word
poetry, and canonical texts. Hopefully, through this loose
string of genres we will be able to make Yeats accessible
to low-performing students through the mediums of rap and
spoken word -- which they already know. I would very much
appreciate any insights you have into this project,
resources that you know of, teachers who have used this and
would be willing to be interviewed, and any links between
rap and "traditional" poetry that you know of.
The end goal of this project is an instructional unit,
which I would be pleased to send you for your assistance.
