War
by Kathleen Gilbert

War is nothing but death
Many see war as just a game
Then in the past of by gone days
Young men thought it was just shoot guns have victory and come home the hero
But some of those boys who just wanted a little action got just what they asked for
just a whole lot more than they bargined for
Many boys went out to the feilds that were full of the dead and wounded
The stench of it all surely made them homesick
Not so brave now, not what you dreamed
that is what war is, nothing but we just don't need
War is blood, death, destruction
