The other side of tragedy by Cohen Morosoff The streets that I walk through And the people that I talk to Cannot see the frustration that breeds Inside of me Its clear and unclear to me That the ones I interact with and plead, sanity, Among my pears And its obvious to me that this unholy sanctity has illiterated All of humanity and inbred all of its fears inside of me So I'm showing the world to see my unfortunate "holy matrimony" With society...and everyone strung in it And everyone should hear it, cause the words I "seam" to say Have turned in most from black and white, to gray While everything around me starts to fade into a light of depression My eyes have shot but blood And the bottle I rock with has hit the floor once or twice before I'v fallen asleep and felt the affects of the green leaf hidden somewhere inside of me on numerous occasions And I'm sure that this leaf has left many abrasions-- In the way that I speak and in the world that I peak in But that's not for you to see... Its not for you to weep over... Its not a tragedy, or a waste of time, even though it takes up most of my time, its my time and mine alone... And my ears have heard but made the choice to sit in shame While everyone around me dwells and claims "they know me" But little do they know they don't, and most of them wont And to assume you do is simply rude since I'm not the one you thought of in the back of your mind last night And I'm not the one you'd stand up and fight for I'm not the kind to make enemies and start wars, I'm simply, yes simply, me And without me, this world could never see The other side of tragedy |
