Love Where Are You
by Braddock Green

sense yo' mama and fathah gave us drama
and you saw through there eyes
was the seed they planned for planting in your subconcious
looking at me they saw activist that took hee' for spoken word
and said baby your fuckin' up your life its ubsurb
and our ship in the relation had light switches going on and off
makin' my stamina blurr...Sagittarius did it occur to you that
our communication was bouncing in and out of a matrix
dipping through a paralax and bending our parallel to a cross road
we ended our destiny at a climax of a for-ever
seeing each other brings gasp of air with cardiac arrest
to handcuffs to my attentivness like, look at me you betta
heart racing the Daytona 500
recollection of your presence to kisses
the way you chewed your food with yo' Black and Dominican Essence
raised my Blood Pressah
you push away like "Darius" did "Nina" on "Love Jones"
me and mah dawg fuck Black and Milds to the Isle Brothahs
and tells me "maaan she was either a Reason, a Season, or Forevah"
I hold it down tough like leathah back on the block like fuck cops
wheres mah niggas
but back in the bed room looking at the spinning ceiling fan I shed tears
of a broken heart that was once mended togetha by a girl who IN LOVED WITH ME
she wrote me a "Hurricane" spoken word
saying "not really a poetic poem" but to listen with my eyes
times past and I forgot her message and the storm she mentioned I got
lost at see looking for the light in the ghetto
she knows me from my wake up to my go to sleep when sleep
when asleep I'm sane...
...when awake I'm scared, lonely, and lost...
