The Seasons Of Him by Taneka Stotts he came talking that smooth jazz shit in his autumnistic ways spitting spiritual rhymes he changed all seasons with the blink of his winter reason was in fact out to lunch so i prepared for this spring of attraction by making my psyche bloom but he lullabied me awake and his melodies stayed in my head for days because the madness of summer would soon strike me down breaching all barriers with a pool-side kiss i was in fall denial cursing the rains of contemplation as his monsoons washed over my body blowing all assumptions out of me it was the season of him the year i fell in love |
