Writers Block by Tiffany Simons simple sketches hide from sight an itch across the spine places on cannot reach a wall to high to climb tripped upon shoelaces fear of those forbidden places wax food kept under reflective glass asleep watching roses bloom on TV a lack of inspiration from falling rain spring never warms these thoughts colors forget to fill up drunken stares blank paper haunts taunts destroys One sentence left to describe a stunted mind shallow screams, no one notices the mute so often left unseen one cannot hold the raging river behind a wicked storm a mighty sword felled by reason thought and me. seeking to define, deny, realize this untouchable itch. |
