Mass Illusion by Demetrius Heath Generation X is an illusion Made by the mass medias confusion Rebellion is a tendency Teenagers offend me The decade the sixties Hit me like fire War sings the choir Pop culture is my obsession Television my connection Criticism is my enemy The epitome of reality Mysterious predictions Made by some Peace, love will come My addiction is not non-fiction But sometime it's sickening Laughter is the sound I adore In my face I ignore Crisis in the Middle East Still no peace? Arafat, Hussein Both totally insane My addiction is culture Shock value is kosher Beauty is my worst addiction Always eccentric Beauty is a rose This isn't a prose Temptation is sexual innuendo Makes me want to know Just how deep it goes Morality is an opinion Given by its minions I follow my carnivorous society A vegetarian doesn't like variety I'm always hiding from judgers Since they judge me Politics amuse me Politics abuse me Revolution has always had a thirst for youth against the machine It has been seen Manifestations of myself Screaming let me be While I cry I'm free Realities mad cow Many noses brown now Society is a cash cow Societies opinion Doesn't get me I follow my own convictions All non-fiction Is society ready For this confession All about my obsessions You should be affected I'm never respected I'm really rebellious Not very careless This looks like a confession Showing my depth perception I answered my own question |
