THE MARK OF HIS LOVE
anonymous

He holds her tight into his arms,
he kisses her lips kindly,
making her feel special for that day.
A thousand apologize for his mistakes,
but yet he does it again and again,
always leaving the mark of his so called love,
upon her body and torn soul.
He tries to sooth her spine with his hands,
but she only shivers at his usually kindness,
telling her the repeated words,
that are so frequently said to her,
"I would never hurt you, again",
but the same night his mark of sick love,
is placed upon her dying soul once more.
She knows the wrongs of what he doing to her,
and when for that one moment that her caresses her,
they all see to fade away like a puff of smoke,
but yet with the hell that he brings to her,
she stills stay always bearing the mark,
of his so called 'love' upon her.
