Untitled
by Stephanie Carberry

I sail beneath the oceans of time,

I travel slowly through the depths

of my surrender.

While moving upon this great earth

I have found that I am one among many--

A figure of fear,

Hidden in a corner of my choosing.

Overshadowed by my unwillingness to stand--

Lost in my particular circumstance.

Pity runs miles deep

And I am drowning in its depth.
