Your Voice, Your Song
by Amy M. Olstead

My Voice is like a nightengale
You told me Yesterday.
Your Voice is my bright sun,
Smiling from the sacred heavens.

My Song is like a docile horse,
Always predictable.
Your Song is a pale moon,
Elusive and mysterious.

My Voice is no more than sweet air,
Evanescent to me.
Your Voice is a soft breeze
That always lingers in my ear.

My Song met yours day after day,
Intrigued and still intrigued.
Your Song has moved My Heart
So that I can only remain.
