Whereabouts
by Shayla Price

Take a moment to listen
to the phrases that you hear.
Flowing down a stream roughly
as they hit all the rocks of my ordeals.
Expressing these
dreadful occurrences are deadly.
They think I'm crazy
to speak my mind.
Why should I hold
my breath any longer?
I want them to perceive
the agony they put me through.
Outspoken thoughts of wrath
arise from the core of hate.
Bursting flames fire up from hell.
Where am I?
Someplace they call
society.
