Goodnight
by Tara Knapp

A thousand nights Goodbye
I prey to never see the light of day
God I love so fair and true
And how I wish to be with you
In the clouds, so high above
To wander through them, like a dove
So feathery light, so pale and white
Once again I see the night
Though I know above I stray,
in hell below is where I'll stay
The life I loved was just a dream,
and the blood that flows through me like a stream
The nightmare I shall face is closing near
So goodnight for good my loves so dear
And if you think of me, please don't cry
For my life, like many, was just a lie
So close your eyes, as I fade away
Who knows, we might meet another day
