Untitled
by Ana Becker

At night I am the moon
Cold and distant,
Yet beautiful
Isolated in the dark sky
Flung into the heavens by some ill wind
All that greet her there are stars
And my eyes
That reflect her silver light
Alone.
The sun rises
And I enter
The world that spins too fast around me
With a smile plastered on my face
But inside I am the moon
