The waiting room of regret
by Madelyn Riera

Im sitting in a waiting room
i see an Asian lady about to kill her baby
I see this Caucasian chick muttering "Im sick"
"Ive got this terrible itch" says this tall lady with dark skin
Im sitting in the middle of this waiting room
Its cold
cold as hell
but everyone is sweating
maybe its not so cold after all
its the room of disgrace
lust brings little girls to this place
there's a man in a white gown
standing before me
looking down
"You've been diagnosed with AIDS he says
a tear rolls down
Im speechless
"Read this"
"Your life is over!"
sit here and wait to be called again
in this waiting room
