Verse of Love by Allison Molina Foolishly accompanied by my love for you. A heart trapped in a cage as you hold the key. Bits of comprehension like a puzzle ... scattered, as I swallow it up, when I inhale, exhale nothing but your memory. Mind fully paranoid and soul possessed by your voice. Rushes of anticipation running down my spine when your name dances into my ears. Swollen eyes and face drenched with tears, as I've come to realize that I not only want you, but that I need you and that I not only love you, but that my heart beats for you. Yawning cause I'm tired, tried of the fact that my presence no longer brings the same effect to your heart as yours does to mine. Tired of the fact, that when I kissed you, I not only played Hockey with your tongue but was emotionally pleasured, cause to me it meant much more than just a game. Tired of the fact, that the night I handed you my body in pain and in tears, when love overpowered my willpower, you set my soul free but didn't stick around to watch it fly. Tired of the fact that after all the times I've loved you, you didn't even have the nerve to say good-bye. The words I write for you that blossom into poetry are not out of obsession or infatuation, cause what I feel in love. I am just tired of the fact that you can hurt me like you do, as you know my heart never lacks forgiveness. But I am thrashed up against the wall of frustration. My rhymes are meant to be felt, as well as to be heard. So with this, I voice for you a verse of love. -Written for Javier |
