A Joint Committee hearing of the Senate and House Judiciary and Education Committees and the House Higher Ed Cmte. Legislators will be briefed on federal regulations regarding immigration and hear from state advocates and community members on existing and upcoming legislative issues affecting immigrants, including drivers licenses, in-state tuition and language access needs. A display featuring successful programs and strategies towards inclusion of immigrants and refugees will be located on the first floor rotunda from 11-3:00pm.
