About the Filmmakers

|
Michael Hacker (writer/producer/director) directed and cowrote The Destiny Of Marty Fine, which received a Jury Award at the 1996 Slamdance Film Festival. His work has been screened at several other film festivals, including South by Southwest. He has also written feature scripts, including Homeboy, Ironmen and Death and the Good Life. A graduate of the UCLA Film School, Hacker was assistant to Wim Wenders and was also the post-production coordinator on Francis Ford Coppola's One from the Heart.

Dennis Aig (producer) has produced and directed film and television programs on subjects ranging from the history of Chief Joseph and the Nez Perce War to the making of Robert Redford's The Horse Whisperer. Among his most notable productions are Shadow Casting: The Making of A River Runs Through It, Sacred Journey of the Nez Perce, Test Pilot of the Body, Black Hawk Waltz: Tales of a Rocky Mountain Town, and Visions of Grace: Robert Redford and The Horse Whisperer. His productions have aired on PBS, Lifetime and the History Channel and have won two regional Emmys along with 50 festival awards, including the Cindy Awards, the Telly Awards, and honors from the Columbus International Film Festival and the WorldFest competitions.

Barry Del Sherman (Terry Woodrow)
In his brief career as a film actor, Barry Del Sherman has quickly established himself as an actor of great ability and versatility. He appeared as the Street Preacher in the major 1996 summer hit Independence Day. He also appeared in Picture Perfect, The Specials and Mascara. He most recently attracted attention for his brief but memorable role as the efficiency expert Brad Dupree in the Oscar-winning film American Beauty.

Jodie Markell (Maryann)
An established film, television and stage actress, Jodie Markell has appeared in Vampire's Kiss, Queen's Logic, Point Of No Return and Safe. She has also had featured roles in episodes of China Beach and Law & Order. A veteran of stage productions directed by Gary Sinise and David Mamet, she is a member of the Naked Angels theatrical company in New York, which allows film actors opportunities to return to the stage in cutting-edge dramas.

David Ripley (Tom)
Quickly establishing himself as a television and film actor, David Ripley has appeared in Naked in the Cold Sun, Father's Day and Chasing Destiny. He is currently planning to produce and direct a feature-length screenplay that he has written.

Miles Gravage (Byron)
Making his professional acting debut in GUIDE SEASON, Miles Gravage lives in Livingston, Montana, with his parents and two older brothers. His older brother, Vann, appeared as the young Paul Maclean in A River Runs Through It. Miles will also be featured in the upcoming short film A Day out with Gordy.

Scott Wilson (Charlie Hurnyak)
A distinguished actor with more than 30 years of experience in films and television, Scott Wilson first attracted attention as Dick Hickok in the original feature film version of Truman Capote's In Cold Blood. He has had featured roles in many films and television programs, including Castle Keep, New Centurions, The Great Gatsby, The Right Stuff, Young Guns II, Flesh and Bone, Geronimo: An American Legend, Dead Man Walking and The X Files.
