Golden Threads
Founded by community organizer Christine Burton, Golden Threads is a global networking service and membership organization created to end isolation and loneliness among mid-life and old lesbians.

SAGE / Senior Action in a Gay Environment
SAGE is the nation's oldest and largest community based inter-generational social service agency dedicated to honoring, caring for and celebrating lesbian and gay community senior members. As a result of the documentary GOLDEN THREADS, a Task Force was formed by to assess the availability and quality of long term care options for lesbian and gay seniors.

Classic Dykes Online
A "cybernetwork for lesbians in mid-life and beyond," this searchable website includes articles, resources, organizations, message boards, personal ads and political updates.

GLARP / Gay and Lesbian Association of Retiring Persons
A non-profit corporation dedicated to encourage gay and lesbian individuals and businesses to give their time, talent and/or money to enhance the aging experience of all retiring gays and lesbians in exchange for tax and other benefits.

Lambda Legal Defense and Education Fund
Lambda Legal Defense and Education Fund made a commitment in 1998 to expand impact litigation and advocacy efforts on behalf of older lesbians and gay men. Founded in 1973, Lambda is the nation's oldest and largest legal organization serving the needs of lesbians, gay men and people with HIV and AIDS through litigation, education and public policy work.

LGAIN / Lesbian and Gay Aging Issues Network
A constituent unit of the American Society on Aging, LGAIN brings together professionals from all disciplines in the field of aging to address the unique concerns of older lesbians and gay men. LGAIN's home pages include a selection of articles from the group's quarterly newsletter, OUTWord, as well as information on events, activities and membership.

NGLTF / The National Gay and Lesbian Task Force
NGLTF is a leading progressive civil rights organization that has supported grassroots organizing and advocacy for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender rights since 1973. NGLTF helps to strengthen the gay and lesbian movement at the state and local level while connecting these activities to a national vision of change.

Old Lesbians Organizing for Change
Organized in 1987 to fight ageism and heterosexism, OLOC is a national organizational of regional groups for lesbians age sixty and up. OLOC provides old lesbians the opportunity to meet like-minded women in a common struggle to confront ageism, share mutual interests and experience joy.

Pride Senior Network
The mission of the Pride Senior Network is to encourage and promote services which foster maximum health, well being and quality of life for the aging lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community through advocacy and education.
