Part 1: Cover sheet
First you must fill out and submit the online cover sheet. Here is a list of all the information you will need to complete your cover sheet. Once your application has been submitted, you will then be taken to a confirmation page with a confirmation number at the top. Print this confirmation page, sign it, and use it as the cover page for your written materials. Remember to save a copy for your files. If your confirmation page does not have a confirmation number at the top or you encounter an error in your online application, please contact N'Jeri Eaton at njeri_eaton@itvs.org for assistance.
Budget information instructions
Please provide basic information in the budget section of your application cover sheet. Do not include in-kind costs or support. The fields you will need to complete are:
a. REQUEST TO ITVS
b. TOTAL BUDGET OF PROGRAM
Requests for development funding should not exceed $50,000. There are no limits on requests for production funding for limited series.
Part 2: Program description (up to three pages)
Treatment
Attach a two-to-three page treatment. Include a brief synopsis and describe how you envision translating your story from the page to the screen. For production funding requests, please outline the proposed episodes. Remember that ITVS considers limited series to be 2 – 4 episodes, each generally an hour in length.
Project Information
Attach one page addressing the following:
- How will the development or production funds be used?
- Current status of the project
- Describe the target audience for this program. In what way is this audience not being currently served by public television?
Part 3: Résumés
Applicants and Co-Applicants must submit a résumé (including their filmography). No summaries or blurbs will be accepted. Applications submitted without résumés will be disqualified.
Submitting your application
An application is comprised of one set of the proposal documents. Please do not bind, spiral or package your proposals in folders. Applicants should print all materials, collate in order, and send their application by mail to:
