LUCIEN FROST

Lucien Frost (#220) was a 43 year-old actor who entered the race. He cut quite a figure with his long beard and eccentricities. He belonged to a cult known as the House of David, which didn’t cut their hair or beards, and went around the country playing Donkey Baseball. The press called him "Moses" or "Jack". Frost was eventually disqualified from the race for catching a ride into Virden, IL. The story goes that he hid under some blankets or clothing in the tonneau of a "charitable lady’s sedan" but was identified by his beard.
