ADAM ZIOLKOWSKI
It was reported in the “New York American” in January
of 1929 that Adam Ziolkowski #130 showed up in New York five months
after the 1928 Bunioneers finished the race. Ziolkowski had dropped
out after seven days of the race in Danby, California, when he cut
his foot on a piece of glass while running. He worked on a ranch
in California, peeling potatoes, until his foot healed.
