Beth Murphy, Producer/Director
Beth Murphy is an award-winning documentary filmmaker and founder of Boston-based Principle Pictures. She’s directed, written and produced nearly 20 films, including the feature documentaries Beyond Belief and The List, which played at numerous film festivals including Tribeca and HotDocs. Beth is a Huffington Post blogger, a Correspondent/Producer of Special Projects for GlobalPost, and a 2012 TEDx speaker. She is the author of Fighting for Our Future, a companion book to her film with the same title, which was heralded by the Library Journal as doing the cancer community “a vital service.” Beth is the photographer for the internationally acclaimed “To Boston. From Kabul. With Love.” photo series. Articles by her and about her work have appeared in The International Herald Tribune, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, Newsweek’s Daily Beast, NBC’s Today Show, NPR, The CBS Evening News, ABC World News, and numerous other television and radio outlets.
Sean Flynn, Producer
Sean Flynn is a Boston-based documentary producer, cinematographer, and programmer. He is the Director of the Points North Documentary Forum at Camden International Film Festival and a co-founder of the DocYard screening series. In 2012, Sean spent four months in India as a Fulbright-Nehru Senior Research Scholar. He is currently a master’s candidate and research assistant at the MIT Open Documentary Lab. Sean began his filmmaking career at Boston-based Principle Pictures as Associate Producer and Co-Director of Photography on the feature documentary Beyond Belief, which premiered at the 2007 Tribeca Film Festival and aired on Sundance Channel.
