ROBERT BYRD, producer/director

Minneapolis-based Robert Byrd has produced numerous award-winning television documentaries, including the Diary series, a three-part series on different ethnic groups; Can We All Get Along, a one-hour talk show on race relations following the L.A. rebellion; Apart and Together; and Understanding Hate. He has also received critical praise for his two-hour documentary Get Over It, about the 1993 Gay/Lesbian March on Washington, which won the Corporation for Public Broadcasting Gold Award.
