This lesson will demonstrate how the economic empowerment of women in Kenya has improved the lives of the individual women and their families and communities for generations to come. They will also consider how and why women and girls around the world are disproportionately affected by extreme poverty and will examine the ripple effects of women’s economic empowerment on individuals, families, communities, and societies.
